Level One Course
Have you ever noticed how much effort we put into keeping our financial lives private? Maybe that’s because our financial decisions are not really about our money. They’re a testimony of our faith and a clear indicator of our idols and sins. This relationship can either be seen as a danger to be kept hidden or a great tool for shining a light into those dark corners to remove sin’s hiding places.
It is a common misconception that biblical financial classes are for those who are struggling. This denies God’s sovereignty over both the rich and the poor. Prosperity is not a sign of righteousness any more than poverty is a result of sin. It’s not about a lack or abundance, but how faithfully you steward it.
This course focuses on building a solid biblical foundation that addresses the issues of the heart and informs all our financial decisions. We must first understand why we make certain decisions before we ever attempt to address how we make them. While an individual can benefit from this course, it will be optimized when combined with group participation. In these seven lessons, we will:
- Develop a deeper understanding of who God is.
- Understand the connection between our faith and our finances.
- Explore how we can glorify God in every financial decision.
